One of the most commonly said things in school (especially Maths, Higher Level Maths in particular) is "Why are we even bothering to learn this, we're never gonna use this outside of school!" or something similar, and I'm guilty of that simply because I haven't had a need to use analysis of a poem, or the amount of interior angles in a shape, or use a Bunsen burner, or ever needed to differentiate between different types of rocks - haven't really needed more than basic subject skills outside of class.
However, I'd like to know from other GovTeen members if I'm wrong, have you had a different experience? Have you needed ANY topic from trigonometry? Has learning the definition of diffusion saved you? If it's in work then it doesn't really count though.
