Garden/house makeover programmes

So I've seen a number of these, probably more garden makeovers than house makeovers.

I'm not sure I would want to be a benefactor/victim of one of these, you get no say over what is happening so you might hate the result and you then have to live with it. Taste is a very individual thing. Kind of pot luck whether you really like what you get.
