Maybe a bit too early, but...

I think I've decided where I want to stay after college. I'm a Florida boy, and I always thought that if I didn't end back in my native New York, I'd end up in Miami...for sure. But it doesn't look that way. I've been in Orlando for a year now and I can't help but say I've fallen in love with the city. Sure, Miami is bigger and the nightlife is more active, but I feel as if there is so much more to explore up here. I grew up in the South Florida metro area, about 20 minutes north of Miami, so I've kinda lived that life. I've been all over that city and surrounding areas. I've seen what there is to see. Orlando? There is SO much left to explore.

Before I came home for a mini break before the semester begins, I drove all the way to the heart of downtown (Lake Eola) and just walked around. I've been out to the clubs and bars downtown before, but with friends. Walking it alone was great, and very therapeutic. It was EXTREMELY relaxing as well.

I still have a while to go until I graduate, but I've been looking at apartments closer to the downtown area (I live about 14 miles east of DT). Prematurely getting my hopes up? Oh yeah. But whatever, it's something to think about.

Who knows...I could end up heading to another city after I graduate. University of Florida or Florida State University may eventually grab my attention. Never been to Gainsville or Tallahassee...maybe I'll give them a shot.

Just my thoughts for this boring, boring night.
