Waiting for 'the one'?

first i would like to say sorry if this has been asked before, but i couldnt find anything similar on a few pages of this forum

for so many years, i have thought and been shown (in movies etc) that you should lose your virginity to a girl/guy that you love, for have deep feelings for.

however, after realising that intimacy takes practice to get right, ive started to think that i should lose my virginity to someone who isnt so special - a trial run if you will.

my reasoning behind this is quite simple - if i build up a deep, meaningful relationship with a girl and then totally fail sexually or even with foreplay, then i could put that relationship in jepoardy, whereas if i did stuff with someone less important to me, then i can learn from it and then be able to work properly with a girl that i deeply care about/ love.

i may sound totally out of line, but i hope that you know what i mean and can offer some advice.
