I am taking A-Levels, to those in the UK aware of what they are, in English Literature, History, French and German. I haven't started yet, but I prefer to be prepared and as such was wondering what would be the best route into journalism after that. Originally, I planned on taking an undergraduate degree in a journalism course. There are many around, such as Joint Honours in Literature or those which combine others subjects such as Sociology. However, some have said I would be better off taking a degree in a more broad subject that I enjoy such as History and from there doing a Masters in Journalism. What should I do? Most importantly, considering I don't come from a particularly wealthy background, I would like to ask those in the UK how financing a masters course works with regards to loans and the like?
