I've recently been thinking a lot about the world, or the U.S. alone. Why are gay rights so hard to get? Why is it that only about half of the states have same-sex marriage? (17/33) I know most people bring religion into it, but does same-sex marriage affect them in any way? If gay marriage is legalized it's not going to start World War lll, it's not going to crash and burn the world, it's not even going to kill you. All that happens is they get married. Now, to the religious people, science has PROVEN that you're born gay and it's not a choice. Whether you believe the scientists or not why would anyone choose to be gay? It brings complications into everyday life. Since it's not a choice, why would God make you gay if it's a sin? It doesn't come together whatsoever. Another point - "Gays have more rights than straight people" - that's not true. There is gay pride days and parades because they're celebrating for their rights that they have and didn't have before. Most states and countries BAN it. Can you imagine not being able to get married to someone you TRULY love? Imagine being killed or go to jail for having a relationship with someone you love. That's not fair and you can't just "Pray the gay away". Now I'm not saying i support all the gays who seem to be "heterophobic" or yell at everyone to be gay and embrace it. Anyway, I'm done rambling now. I'm open for debate.
