Okay, so there's a christian band called Jars of Clay. I don't listen to them. But it's a band that's regularly on the radio station that my parents have playing in our cars constantly. I always have earbuds in listening to metalcore, so I don't listen to them, nor any of the rest of the music.
At lunch today, dad asked me if I listen to JOC and I said no. Then he asked me if I knew what the lead singer has recently came out with. I then responded with "no, I don't listen to them, why would I?"
He then stated that the lead singer had tweeted support for gay marriage, and then my mom chimed in with "yeah, he says he doesn't see any substantial evidence against it."
Here's an article about it.
I just don't understand why it even matters. Why does it matter? Everyone deserves support, whether you agree with it or not, they still deserve to be treated like human beings. And I don't feel like it was something to be brought up at the table for no reason.
It made me really mad at my dad. He was like very accusing and judgmental about it. Can people not have their own opinions without everyone bashing them about it??
