Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

Not sure if this is the right place for this thread or if it should be somewhere like Advice or something.

I've had OCD symptoms for as long as I can remember and they're still going strong.
It definitely bugs me when people say 'I HAVE OCD ABOUT BRUSHING MY TEETH' or 'I'M A BIT OCD HEHEHE,' because, yes, it's a spectrum, so some people may have very slight obsessions and/or compulsions, but, a lot of the time, there are people claiming to have serious OCD when all they seem to have is routine and order.
Then there's another side of OCD, where people think OCD isn't even real and people do these things for attention. If anyone reading this had that opinion, let me tell you this: If I could choose, I would not give myself this thing. It's not some made-up bullshit, it's difficult to live with and very hard to deal with.

Anyway, rant over.

Was wondering if anyone else on GovTeen suffers from OCD?

If you don't:
What are your opinions on it?
Have you had experience with friends/family suffering from OCD?

If you do:
What kind of obsessions and/or compulsions do you get? A lot of people assume OCD is just cleaning, but germs don't come into mine as much as people assume they do.
What experiences have you had? As in, do people make assumptions about you too? Have you been bullied/teased about it?
Do you have any coping strategies?
Do you have times where it comes out more? When I'm stressed or upset, mine kicks in even more than usual. Also, when I'm alone, like walking home from school, I don't have a lot to distract me, so it always comes out then.
