How did you eventually gravitate towards atheism?

Just a curious question, how did those who are atheists finally decide that religion is false? To specify, what was your final realization that cemented you?

The way I became an atheist was that I was raised a christian, but always had doubts as most do, so I explored those doubts. The more I thought, the more ridiculous the idea sounded, and the more I convinced myself of the lack of a higher being. But here's where my contemplation finally surmounted and I still think is a pretty valid point:

If human senses like the sight, smell, touch, etc etc are acquired by our own physical bodies like our olfactory glands to smell, nerves to sense touch, etc, then those can't possibly exist in a spiritual sense. These are all things we acquire physically, so say even if there was a heaven or hell, it would obviously be rendered impossible to see, touch, smell, etc any of it. Now, that being said, if I couldn't feel or see hell, what would be the goddamn point of it? I mean shit, hell is the least of my worries.

besides, heaven would have to be totes overcrowded. It's estimated that there are 7 billion living people, and about 98 billion dead people (I'll cite that if anyone wants that source- isn't that such a neat statistic? I've always wondered about the censuses of the dead). There would have to be like, a shortage of chairs or some shit.

(note: obviously these are built upon actual logically established disbelief in a god, these are just ideas I toy with)
