It may be because I'm not a man's man, but does anyone else feel sometimes self concious about their appearance? It seems like I'm always comparing myself to the guy outside A&F standing shirtless in the mall, or all of the guys with giant muscles in tv commercials, and even other guys in the locker room. Even though I'm at a healthy weight, I feel fat because my stomach isn't flat or have a six pack. I try hard, and it seems like I can never gain muscle. I've always been terrible at sports, too. Yet, it pisses me off in media how the "perfect" man is described as an impossible standard. Even more when girls say they will only date guys with abs. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? YOU JUST COMPLAINED ABOUT WOMAN'S STANDARDS, AND HOW YOU'RE "PERFECT IN YOUR OWN WAY," BUT THEN GO OFF AND SAY THAT? It makes me feel shitty.
Do any other guys get what I'm saying?
