Telling her that i like her on phone ?

It's a very slim chance to meet this girl face to face in the summer.I want to tell her that i like her, would telling her on the phone be okay ?that i have a crush on her and so on.

Problem is if i waited and then after summer something happened (like her getting a boyfriend) i will regret it
So phone call or not ?
