Okay. So I'm in college and live in a resident hall (dorm) and I used to casually date the male RA on my floor, nothing serious or anything, we broke up months ago after dating for two weeks and he claims he's over me but I'm not so sure..okay so this is the most recent thing that has me confused. I was being bullied by my roommate and so I stood up for myself (this is in public) and she totally flipped out. During the confrontation he placed one of his hands lightly on my shoulder in a protective type manner. The day before he told somebody in front of me that he had to break up with the last girl he was dating because he needed to be single and it hurt him that he hurt her and he hates himself for it (this is in reference to me and I stayed silent) and now when I try to talk about the incident between my roommate and I with him (so I can talk about what needs to be done in terms of bullying etc.) he keeps saying this hurts me too much to talk about, or I can't talk about this with you it's too emotionally draining. When I asked him why it was emotionally draining since he was just a third party he said don't you ever bring your emotions into things? So now I'm confused.does he still like me or his he just doing his job?
