So today, I deposited 20 pounds into my account via cashline in the bank using my card. This is an instant bank transfer. So shortly after me and my friend went for lunch, and we were both paying with card so I worried that the money hadn't been transferred yet as I never normally utilize the cashline service. I have the RBS online banking app for my iphone, went on and it told me my available balance was 19.55. This shocked me as I had no existing unarranged overdraft etc. I quickly checked my statement and it just showed lots of transactions from last week, but last week I remember being left with about 50p in my account. So how when I put 20 pounds into my account do I only get 19.55??? I put 70 pounds in last Friday and I had the amount in full available, so how do I now when putting in 20 only get less than I had in cash?? Ridiculous. It's nothing to do with the amount, I'm not squabbling about 45p but I think it's just ridiculous that if I make use of their bank they give me less back then what I originally had in cash??
