DISCLAIMER: NOT A DEBATE THREAD
Which one do you prefer?
I'm curious about this, so I'll make a survey to get some of you thinking.

(EXTRA)Do you think having these media arts is important in life?
I'll go first;
Age: 16
Preference: animated
Explanation: I really enjoy the liveliness and freedom you can achieve in animation. The characters feel very "bouncy" and quite imaginative in their appearances. I watch animation mostly to cherish my imagination and as a way to forget about reality for a short while, plus it has an extra comical dimension to it. Animation is also quite versatile when telling a short story; the environments can be easily changed in parallel to the plot. Even with special effects, I feel live-action media is still much more limited in story-telling than animation.
From a more personal perspective;
I don't think I will change my attitude for animations for a long time. I've been raised with many different cartoons and it has been taking my imaginations to many different places, and I built up an appreciation for how the characters have really enhanced my attitudes. The lively atmosphere and some fictional personalities have often inspired me to be more energetic and enthusiastic to many things in life, and my attitudes of certain things. If I had one job, that would be to bring the joys of cartoons to the next generation of children.
Are these media arts important to me? Yes! I think media arts such as movie, theaters, comedy broadcasts, animation adds thrill or joy to my life. It constantly encourages me to strive for imagination and not limit myself to just thinking just about a bleak reality. There's also something about the under-appreciation of arts that bothers me. As a creative person myself, I don't find it comfortable when people laugh me at being in an arts program. I think many people take media arts for granted-- media arts in everywhere but I guess recognition is lacking sometimes. In all honesty, I think it's something that most of us want.
Your turn!
